Glassmakers Tears l - The Glassmakers Tears sculptural range is created in blown glass which has been diamond cut and polished and finished with a sandblasted effect. Based on the hand crafted sensitivity of craft practice; this piece harnesses light by cutting away the material to reveal inherent transparent and translucent qualities. This approach creates a soft sensitive aesthetic which works subtly with the simplicity of the blown glass shapes based on simple, tear drop forms. The way light passes through the work to reveal an inner luminosity intrigues Jessamy and inspires her to work with in glass.
