Enclose l - The Enclosed vessel range is created in blown glass which has been diamond cut and sandblasted. Based on the hand crafted sensitivity of craft practice; this piece harnesses light by cutting away the materials to reveal their inherent transparent and translucent qualities. This approach creates a soft sensitive aesthetic which works subtly with the simplicity of the blown glass shapes based on open round forms, which have small pebbles of glass within which create reflected light to shine through the forms. The way light passes through the work to reveal an inner luminosity intrigues Jessamy and inspires her to work with in glass.
