On The Spot - The On the Spot sculptural range is created in blown glass which has been diamond cut and polished and finished with a sandblasted effect, set on a kiln cast base. Based on the hand crafted sensitivity of craft practice; this piece harnesses light by cutting away the material to reveal inherent transparent and translucent qualities. This approach creates a soft sensitive aesthetic which works subtly with the simplicity of the blown glass shapes based on simple, slice forms which rest on a kiln cast glass base. The way light passes through the work to reveal an inner luminosity intrigues Jessamy and inspires her to work with in glass.
